If you have any additional questions, visit our Volunteer FAQ page for more information. For group volunteering, please fill out our Group Volunteer Request Form.
Volunteer Mentorship
One of the biggest needs of each survivor we work with is a positive, strong community to offer her support and encouragement. In addition to support and case management from our staff Advocates, we pair each Brave One with a long-term volunteer mentor. We have periodic openings for NEW Volunteer Mentorship opportunities throughout the year.
Must be 23+ to volunteer. Female volunteers only. Additional training will be provided.
Celebrations Team
We have the privilege of celebrating milestones with the survivors we serve, such as birthdays, baby showers, graduations, court dates, holidays, and more! Our Celebrations Team will help with meals for weekly survivor support group, party planning, compiling gifts, and connecting with places in our community that would make our celebrations even better.
Must be 13+ with parental consent to volunteer.
Events Team
Events team raises awareness about human trafficking and the work Rescue Her is doing. Team members assist with awareness booths at festivals, college fairs, conferences, and community events. Team members will be trained on our mission, our products, how to accept payments, how to interact with attendees, and how to set up and tear down the booth. To join this team, you must have reliable transportation and be willing to commute across DFW. Opportunities are available on an as-needed basis.
Must be 13+ with parental consent to volunteer.
Safety & Support Team
Volunteers provide safety & surveillance during weekly survivor support group, assist survivors with tasks like moving from a shelter to an apartment, and serve as a positive male presence at various survivor events throughout the year (e.g., serving food at our Valentine’s Day party).
Must be 18+ to volunteer. Male volunteers only. Additional Training will be provided.
Fundraising Team
This team is for people who love to fundraise or want to grow in fundraising. Volunteers have the option to help Rescue Her host fundraisers or be trained on how to host your own. Personal fundraisers can look like anything from rallying your small group to purchase items off a survivor’s baby registry to planning your own community 5k. We want to equip you to use the talents and influence you already have to raise funds!
Must be 13+ with parental consent to volunteer.
Link Team
This team is the LINK that makes it possible for us to put tangible goods in the hands of survivors. This looks like organizing our Hope Kit storage room so advocates can pull goods for crisis calls, picking up donated furniture from community members to help us furnish a survivor’s apartment, or restocking Empower Market items for our weekly support group.
Must be 13+ with parental consent to volunteer.
